I met the bride Kim while on a business trip to Washington DC in 2010 and remained friends (online) since.  This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to photograph her wedding to Cisco at the historic Pt. Vicente Lighthouse in Palos Verde, Ca.  Closed to the public, this is only the second wedding ever done at the lighthouse, and she ended up being the first bride to ever be photographed from atop the lighthouse.  The lighthouse itself has been closed to the public for the past couple of years due to asbestos and exposed lead…. but that didn’t stop us!

The guests were encouraged to dress in authentic 1940s attire and stay in character the entire evening.  Instead of a DJ, they had a a swing band.  The MC was a guest who also stayed in character and used that old-timey accent.  There were martinis, cigarettes and men with thin mustaches.

Just enjoy the photos and wish that your friends and family were as cool as Kim & Ciscos.  Congrats guys!

Kim had a blast getting ready…

Then the guests arrived.  And they arrived in style!

The wedding bells were ringing, and the bride was walked down the isle by her father…

Time for formals…

And then it was time to party!

I hope Kim & Cisco have a blessed marriage and keep their playful, youthful spirit about them well into the 2040s!
