I was fortunate enough to photograph over 20 weddings in 2014, including at least one every month. Five of those weddings were at Sterling Hills Golf Club. One each at Spanish Hills Country Club, Las Posas Country Club, Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach and a couple other spots. I did two each at Calamigos Ranch in Agoura, and Tuscan Villa in Simi Valley. I also had weddings at a California Mission, a historic church in Montecito and the Hollywood backlot where they filmed Seinfeld.
I captured some amazing choreographed dances, speeches that made my eyes water, and drank a shot from a $3000 bottle of bourbon with a groom. The year started off with a same-sex wedding on the beach and ended with a wedding so emotional that both the bride and groom teared through the entire ceremony. I made countless friends, heard “All The Single Ladies” and “Marry Me” way too many times.
Years from now these images will still live on representing the memories they captured. Not all of these images are frame-worthy, but all of them represent the beauty, love, fun, energy and romance that I was blessed to be a part of. And those are the things, my friends, that keep me enthusiastic about doing all sorts of weddings.
Now, in no particular order, are my favorite photos of each wedding I captured in 2014. Look forward to a great 2015:
Thank you everyone who took a chance on me, who let me into their lives and allowed me to be there to capture the biggest day of your life. I look forward to meeting and photographing and befriending more of you in 2015
