Nipomo and Central California is home to hundreds of historic barns and ranches. A few of those are still active barns while others have been converted into amazing venues suitable for rustic weddings. This was one of those barns.
I’ve known Jill, the mother of Colleen for many years as a mutual contact through Flickr. We’ve commented on each others photos and she’s shared photos of her daughter over the years. It wasn’t until she met Matt and things got serious that Jill started to ask my availability to photograph her daughter’s wedding. Once they said the ceremony/reception was going to take place in the historic Dana Powers Barn I got real excited. After years of being online photography contacts, we met at her wedding and 8 hours later came away with an amazing experience captured on my digital sensors. I would apologize in advance for showcasing so many of their photos, but the location and the people and the effort they put into making this wedding unique was over the top and warrants documentation.
Well, you definitely chose my favorite wedding of yours to blog here! Fantastic job and just glancing at the pictures brings back so many wonderful memories.
